Redefining Reference Standards

HDx™ Reference Standards
Identify and Control Variability Every Day

Training and Supporting Your Staff

Pre-analytical processes are not always automated and great skill is required to successfully perform a DNA extraction from an FFPE sample. Precious sample can easily be lost during the elution process, especially if the material is not easily visualized as is often the case for fine needle aspirates and micro-dissections.

As a result, biomedical scientists and laboratory staff are perhaps the most critical component of the genotyping process and one of the most effective ways to control operator error is through effective training programs.

HDx™ FFPE Reference Standards can be used to help train staff in lieu of real patient material. Consistent yield provides staff with a target they can strive for, and benchmarking against this level can help trainees improve their performance in the lab and identify any weaknesses in their practices.
