Custom X-MAN (Gene-X, Mutant And Normal) Cell Lines

Horizon Dx offers its customers access to Horizon’s custom cell line engineering service to develop custom cell line reference standards containing defined ratios of their mutation of interest. This service draws upon Horizon’s proprietary precision genome editing technology, GENESIS^TM , to reconstitute a mutation of interest into the endogenous allele. The process gives rise to a modified cell line, containing the endogenous mutation of interest, and a genetically matched unmodified cell line containing wild type alleles. These two cell lines can then be mixed to develop custom gDNA or FFPE reference standards containing defined allelic ratios for assay validation and process control.

X-MAN cell lines also provide pharma/biotech and diagnostic companies as well as the research community with binary preclinical models to identify expression markers that might capture relevant regulatory changes in a tumor that can then be tested in clinical samples.
