Genomic DNA Reference Standards
Genetically defined, genomic DNA (gDNA) extracts are patient-relevant ‘mutant vs wild-type’ reference standards. They contain defined ratios of mutant alleles and can be mixed in dilution series to validate the sensitivity and reproducibility of molecular diagnostic assays. These standards are generated using Horizon’s proprietary homologous recombination based precision genome editing platform GENESIS™.

FFPE Cell Line Reference Standards
Genetically-defined Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded (FFPE) cell line sections are patient-relevant ‘mutant vs. normal’ reference standards. They contain defined ratios of mutant alleles, enabling the quality control of both assay sensitivity and DNA extractions. These standards are generated using Horizon’s proprietary homologous recombination based precision genome editing platform GENESIS™.

Tumorgraft Reference Standards
FFPE tumorgrafts are Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded blocks of genetically defined, tumorigenic cell line xenographs. Horizon provides these FFPE tumorgrafts as whole FFPE blocks via an on-demand service. These serve as patient and tumor-relevant references for validating IHC tests, antibody screening and antibody validation.
